Microsoft Outlook email
This connection supports sending email through the user’s Microsoft mailbox. It does not provide Microsoft 365 file functions and is not presented as reading Outlook mail.

Microsoft connections
Outlook email and Microsoft 365 files use separate connections.
Nexcorum distinguishes sending email through Microsoft Outlook from working with OneDrive, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Connecting one does not mean the other is connected.
Purpose of the connections
The user chooses the Microsoft capability needed for the task.
Each connection is used only for its supported purpose and remains subject to the permissions granted by Microsoft.

The Outlook sending connection does not grant access to OneDrive or Office files.

Email sending is not the same as Microsoft 365 file access.
Nexcorum keeps these connections separate in the product and backend.
02 · Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 files
This connection supports current OneDrive, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint functions through Microsoft’s file services and authorized OneDrive resources.
Currently supported file areas
What the Microsoft 365 file connection can support
File actions depend on the plan, permissions actually granted, and the OneDrive resource authorized for the task.
OneDrive
Find and register supported files or folders, detect new or changed files, upload supported content, and obtain file links.
File access is required to inspect and work with the OneDrive resources selected or registered for Nexcorum.
Excel
Find workbooks, sheets, and tables; update information; add rows or sheets; create workbooks; and export supported workbooks as PDF.
The workbook must be available through an authorized OneDrive resource and the connection must include the required file permission.
Word
Obtain document links, create documents, create from an authorized template, and export supported documents as PDF.
The document or template must be available through an authorized OneDrive resource and the connection must include the required file permission.
PowerPoint
Find presentations, create presentations, create from an authorized template, obtain links, and export supported presentations as PDF.
The presentation or template must be available through an authorized OneDrive resource and the connection must include the required file permission.
Microsoft Teams remains Coming soon and is not presented as an available integration.
Microsoft permissions
The provider shows which permissions Nexcorum requests. Those permissions define the maximum access the user can grant; Nexcorum uses only implemented functions needed by the approved task, and the service can later be disconnected.

- Identify the Microsoft account connected by the user.
- offline_access
- Maintain the authorized connection without asking the user to sign in for every task.
- Files.ReadWrite
- Work with authorized Microsoft 365 files.
- Mail.Read · Mail.ReadWrite · Mail.Send
- Mail.Read, Mail.ReadWrite and Mail.Send are registered permissions; public claims remain limited to the email functions actually implemented.
- ChannelMessage.Send · ChatMessage.Send
- ChannelMessage.Send and ChatMessage.Send are registered, but Teams is postponed and no Teams capability is presented as available.
Both Microsoft connections can be disconnected separately.
Disconnecting one connection does not imply that the other has also been disconnected.
- Disconnect the Microsoft 365 file connection or the Outlook sending connection from Nexcorum.
- Remove or revoke authorized OneDrive resources independently when the relevant control is available.
- Review the task activity and execution history available in Nexcorum.
Control and withdrawal
Both Microsoft connections can be disconnected separately.
Disconnecting one connection does not imply that the other has also been disconnected.
